Expos take lead in semis as Chris Kelly makes his return

Pierrefonds (AP) - The Expos took a one-game lead in their best of five series against the Beers, winning 13-2 under the lights at Sportsplex. Starting pitcher Marc Cusson said after the game "It was a team win. Yes I could sit here and talk about my 8 strikeouts over 5 innings. Or I could tell you about my 2 RBIs. Or even my heads-up 1st to 3rd on Doug Fletcher's single. I can even tell you about what an emotional lift it is for the whole team to have me in the dugout. But I'm not going to do that. That's not my style."

Chris Kelly, fresh from his suspension, got on base three times and scored twice. "It was great to be out with the team again. You know, its like hockey. You go the box for 2 minutes. You feel shame. And then you are free. I'm free now, and I feel like I have a deeper understanding of what my helmet is meant for."

Game 2 is set for this evening at the Beers home park of Loyola.
